Ranking evo models

If you had to rank the evo by model on a (1-10) scale, 1 being best 10 being worst how would it go. I hear a lot of people feel the VIII is the worst

Well in stock form the 03 is the worst. But who keeps it stock?
On looks? I prefer the 8 over the 9. But the 10 is my favorite.

I give my 03 Evo a (4) on your scale. The 7 and 6.5 are tied for the top 2 for me. The 10 is my favorite. To each there own

9,8,10

I use to like the 10 but look too much like the lancer for me, then couldn't afford it, so I kept looking at 8s and got one, but i perfer the 9 headlights turbo ect ect. 8 bumper with nose chop though is sexy.

depends on what we are ranking them for?
I think each has a strong suite.

X for daily driving and smooth looks.
IX for meanest looking and raw driving feel.
VIII for budget power.
VII for original appearance.

Do the IX and 05 VIII differ that much overall

Yes engine wise. The 9 has a slightly bigger turbo compressor housing and Mivec which gives it better low-end, other than that I would say all else is pretty equal.

Not sure about ranking them individually points wise, but I'm similar to a few others in this thread.

X is the best for DD, but I find it ugly in comparison to every other generation...I'm still not used to the looks.

The Evo 9 is my favorite (hence why I bought one) I feel its the last true Evo. Good looks, performance, and a nice interior (compared to the blue seats in the 8).

I like Evo 5’s for its looks; but I’ve never driven one so I can’t really comment on anything else.

Evo 8’s are nice and to me are basically the same as a 9 except for a few visual que’s and interior differences.

There's no sense in people ranking the VII or earlier, seeing how most people here haven't even seen all of them in real life, let alone driven them. But it depends on what you're ranking them on. Do you have a specific metric that you're asking about?

With all the horror stories, I couldn't buy a high priced used car and risk it, so I bought a new X. Some days I think it looks really good, other days it looks a bit odd to me. I'd love to try a IV and see how they feel. But I really do like my X, all it needs is a quiet set of tires and it'd be perfect. I don't daily it, but I do drive it at highway speeds quite a bit, and the tire noise on the rough tar and gravel roads gets old. So, I don't think I could live with a IV, but I am old, 41.

I've owned a IV, VI TME, IX and X. The IV didn't have the quick steering rack and just didn't feel like I was driving and Evo. It was the least capable of the group and they are know to have crankwalk issues. Your not missing out in my opinion. The X is by far the most comfortable DD.

Well Im new to evos, only owning mine for about 3 months now so just trying to learn/read a lot...i absolutely LOVE the older ones, my favorite has to be the VII or 6.5 tme...just curious how people would rank them performance wise, looks wise is way to subjective. Also what was the most awarded evo model? In terms of accomplishments, wins etc. thanks
