In the video is my Evo. I was driving (Not hard) and all of the sudden it wouldn't pull it was spitting and then this loud sound happend and it goes faster as RPM's go higher. engine light came on immediately. if this has anything to do with it my oil light came on a week ago for about 3 seconds then turned right back off. thanks guys for taking time to check it out!!!

sounds very wrong... timing belt/chain/pretensioner? hope you find the problem soon.

 

I couldnt tell in the video but is there something on your cam gears? It only focused on them for a second and I couldbt tell if something was hanging off the gear and hitting the covering. Just my .02

 

my guess is you either spit out a rocker ( pull the VC and check) or you dumped a bearing. Do you have a real oil pressure gauge installed? if so, if your pressure is down several pounds (10) at all rpm...thats it.

Thats not a timing gear anything.

 

Well what i found out was there was no oil, I just got brand new oil change 3 weeks ago but have no leak. I think it's the turbo burning up the oil i used mobil 1 synthetic but i used 10-15 i went and put 10-30 in and the sound got really low but it's still there i'm going to try taking it to see if a computer can figure it out since engine light is on. Also not sure What you mean by VC

 

You probably messed up something permanently in the motor. If you run it that low on oil and do damage it isn't magically going to get better when you put oil in it. The damage has been done.

Yeah i understand that i was just hoping my lifters where just dry since it just happened. But i had a guy come to my place and he said it's my crank shaft. so i'm just going to swap the engines now and rebuild this one. So i just need to find a good shop here around NTX. I heard there is a buschur racing branch off in lewisville.
