Another "future" evo owner.
Hello all!
I have been a member since 2005 but wasn't active on the site as Importing an evo to Canada was a stretch at the time, it has become much easier and is within grasp. That said I am on search for a rally red, evo 7-9 and stock hahaha. (Dreamer)
I have had my share of cars, and as it sits rollin a 2003 Ford f250 with a 6" lift, a 1992 Honda Accord that was automatic, I converted to manual, then put a fully built f22a engine with MHI evolution 3 big 16g turbocharger at 18lbs of boost, all performed by yours truly with a bit of help from my older brother.
I Recently decided I wanted the air conditioning back and be able to drive it to work and haul the family around a bit when needed.
SO... I also have a 98 civic hatch base, which I did the headswap to the sohc 1.6 vtec and wasn't satisfied so found a jdm h22a dohc and fabbed up some engine mounts, made a homemade custom obd1-obd2a harness, and drove that and it was fun and pretty quick all in all, but decided to pull the h22a out and throw it into the accord, and put the turbo f22a into the civic, after all its nearly a 1000lbs lighter chassis, and well if the car beat up on r32-33 skylines, subarus and some muscle cars, imagine what it will do now eh! lol
I am a welder by trade, a car guy, backyard mechanic, and love snowboarding and most sports.
I am pretty interested in electric vehicles, but fell in love with the previous generations (evo vii - ix) Watching buschur. rre, ams and all these companies ripping in there cars fueled my passion even more. Wrc was a favorite past time before speed channel went all nascar on us.
Any questions just ask, I feel I am full of knowledge and love to learn, and experience more.
Again I will be searching hard for a decent rr evo 7-9 and would pretty much sell my soul for a mint one with the factory 6 spoke wheels and full `wing`
Cheers!

If anyone has any experience bringing and purchasing US cars, and bringing them to Canada I could use some help. I have been contemplating all options to aquire my next car, and I know it will be an evo 8 or 9 and Silver being my least favorite color but still cost and condition will influence my decision greatly, can always get a paint job for new color
. But still on the fence which model is best, best pricing, options are must and what doesn't matter to much. Thanks in advance!
Cheers!
