I got off of work last night there was some guy looking at my car.As I approached another guy in a truck pulled up and the guy got in quick and they drove off.I'm am not too worried about my car getting stolen I do have keyless entry and my car apparently has an immobilizer,I am worried about my car getting vandalized when I drive around town I get a lot of smiles but I also get several looks of envy?I didn't buy my car to show off but to actually enjoy the time when I do drive.I know my car was around 45k brand new but I bought it used it's not really a truly expensive car.Does anyone else have this problem?Has anyone had an evo X stolen?

 

Hah the very first day I got my Evo, I had met the delivery driver from the dealership in a parking lot in Las Vegas. I was to meet him, pay, and drive the car back to my home state. I had it towed out of California so I didn't have to pay their taxes.

Anyways, as I was counting out cash to the tow truck driver, two shifty guys kinda drunk walked up to us. Right about then, me and the tow truck driver realized we were counting out cash, standing next to a new car that had just came off a tow truck, and hadn't even realized what a jackpot it would be for muggers

fortunately, it was diffused and we both got the heck outta there.

I will say I am very paranoid about my 8. I like the attention it gets, but I dont like the attention it gets. There are ****ty people out there that would key your door, break a window, or dump a slushy in an open sunroof just to be a piece of ****. I just try to keep an eye on it and park away from people at walmart, because hit and runs a-plenty there.

Not that I advise this, but I have my CHL license, and Ohio is an open carry state, so I always carry my Glock when Im driving. The other day for instance, I went to the car wash and when I got out to get change I pulled up my hoodie to show I had my gun on me. Saw a few people look, not make a big deal about it, and surprisingly had a few people make small talk with me at the change machine....never happened any of the other 800 times I was there...
