This my sound like a noob question but what's the difference between the red diamond logo and the silver one? I have an 08' and all of mine are red but the I've seen others with just silver. They were all Evos I've learned to tell between the Lancer "Evo" and the real ones. So is there a difference between the color of the badge or not?

 

The red is just a vinyl you can buy to overlay on top of the silver. There is 0 diff other than your red emblem.

 

The red emblems are about 10 hp more than the standard silver.

 

 

Purists go red as that has always been Mitsubishi's color for their 3 Diamond logos, promotions, etc. It also doesn't hurt that when Marlboro their main sponsor, sponsored Team Mitsubishi's rally cars, and their (Malboro) main color was red...

Just like that 'other' car company (subie) has a main color of blue.
