Back after 6 years...

Hello everyone, I'm returning to an Evo after stints with a couple of other cars.

I found a EVO MR GG with 58k miles on it, 1 owner car for 17k, so had to jump on that deal! Inherited some ricer mods, backwards installed HKS SSQV, vacuum leaks causing only 12psi of boost, etc. Changed out the turboback, EBCS, and ended up with 343/334 on the dyno with Jestr tuning.

Plans for the car are full road race build. Already have the power, ACD reflash, rear sway, and starting to gut the interior. Ordering Mullerized Ohlins plus the rest of his recommendations including race tires to start kicking *** at the track.

Previously ran three track cars before this: K20A Integra, EVO 9 MR Robispec, and a Cayman S tuned by TPC.

This car should kick all of their asses though, budget sits at about 30k right now. I had the EVO at the local AutoX already with stock suspension and brakes and ended up with 18th/109 for times and only 1.1 seconds behind the ASP champion. I do have a bit more seat time then most of them, though.

Look forward to meeting some EVO guys again . Also funny is that my DD is a 2013 WRX.

Ha! You are old school if you had Jester tune it. Welcome back. How'd you like your Cayman?

Yeah man, he did good on the last one with 15-20 track days and no issues whatsoever so why not do it again!

The Cayman was cool, requires a lot more attention to drive at the limit than the other two cars that I have raced. Between the maintenance costs and the car not being nationally competitive without spending $50k+ I decided to go back to what I know. I missed working on cars too, Cayman was a PITA to work on.
