EVO8: Good 4 Daily Driver?
EVO8: Good 4 Daily Driver?
Wats up guys?
I'm currently in the market for a new car..
I'm DEFINATLEY interested in the EVO8..
but i j/had a few questions..
I kno its not a luxury car or anything, but even still the interior seems VERY VERY simple and bland to me..
Are any of you guys bored of or really disliking the interior now that you actually HAVE the car?
I'm looking for a daily-driver with *****, and the EVO is it lol... but do you guys recommend this car for a daily driver?
When u get it as a daily driver, you really need that extra comfort for those times when you just want to drive normally.. so for you guys who use this car as a daily-driver, is the interior comfort decent after a while?
I'm coming from a 2000 V6 Accord, which had a nice cross between, luxury, performance, and styling.
So I just want ur guys opinions on the EVO now that you all are used to it..
thanks

Hi,
This is a topic that has been talked about many times. Here is a link to a mega merged thread:

There are many owners who commute many miles daily in their Evo's. I would suggest you test drive the Evo from a dealer or if not available or the dealer won't allow it, then find a local member here. Most are more than willing to give a ride.
The V6 Accord certainly has luxury over the Evo, but relative to handling and performance you will be in a different zip code.
Good luck!

i hear the evo is a little harsh for a daily driver. it won't be as comfortable as an Accord. But if you want to sacrifice that luxury ride for true performance, this car is for you!
good luck!

I drive mine daily and love every minute of it. Gives me a smile every time I get in it. The ride is firm but not to harsh. You will grow to love it when you can experience it's superb handling abilitys.
the evo is a rally monster, .. it is.. i mean if you want to strap yourself in for the ride of your life everyday, then yes it is a daily driver
i was just thinking to myself today on the way home..i don't think i'll ever be satisfied with another car, i will have to drive this evo everyday forever ..... then i smiled what a great way to get through life at EVO SPEED!!
does that help put into perspective how we daily evo drivers feel
just my 2 cents

the evo rides a bit better than my previous two cars (nsx and s2000)
it is my daily driver and i have no problem with it...all it's missing is a cruise control, other than that, no complaints. although the interior of the evo may be simple and bland, it has everything you need in a car...what do you expect the interior of a performance sedan at 30k be? mitsu's main focus on the evo is performance and not creature comfort...afterall, it is a performance car.
btw, i don't see any luxury, performance, or styling in a '00 accord v6

Find it to be a matter of taste, Depends what your used to. For me the evo feels like a cream puff compared to my z06 (eibach springs and bilstien shocks) but I swear the evo handels better.
Upgrade your sound system and you will love the simple elegance that is the evo. I love mine so much!!!!!
or you could spring for 25+k more and get a m3
