make sure you could afford the maintenance and parts that mitsu wont warrant.

and gas too. A lot of gas goes into this thing.

I don't mean to jack this thread, but I have a similar question.

I'm lookin to get into either an EVO or an STi. Although i'm not all THAT fond of the STi's looks, i gotta admit the interior is far superior to the EVOs'. I've been an EVO fan for a long time now, and finally I'm really looking into getting one, but I heard that the 05' EVO's will come with a 6spd. Manual, rather than the 5spd. that the current evo's have.

I want this car for my daily driver, and i don't really care for the MR much, all I want is a 6spd. and power windows

Will the regular 05's have the 6spd too? or just the MR's?
And will the regular evo's be marked up really high too? The reason I ask is because I've been reading that a lot of people have put down deposits to reserve an MR for a specific price, because dealers will jack up the prices. Is the hype j/for the MR's? or for the regular EVO's too?

Like I said, all I want is a 6spd. and power windows

Thanks to those who reply

Just the MR will have the 6 speed the regular evo's aren't marked up that much I got mine at MSRP. The suspension and handling of the EVO is what really sets it apart from the STI. It will outcorner and out slolom the STI all day long every day. The Evo is also a better car for tuning up. The STI is a little softer on the inside and does have a few more luxury type things but in most competitions I have seen the EVO wins hands down

As to the original thread if I was going to be buying a new EVO I would wait for the 05 model because of the upgrades on it. I don't think I would pay markup on the MR. If money is tight I would find an 03 that a dealer was trying to get rid of cause thats your best deal right now be very careful with used evo's as a lot of evo owners are hard on their vehicles.

Shall we not drive our cars too? just in case ? Its a Supercar its meant to be launched and raced however be prepared to cover the cost of doing so. If your never ganna drive you EVO like it was meant to be driven you might as well save your money and get an ES and put a nice body kit and wheels for it.
