All sixty Evo 8's that were imported by to Taiwan had the exact same options. My wing has the CF look but how do I know its the real thing? The trunk is dam light though

 

If you see the CF in the middle section

 

Look at it you should be able to see the weave of the carbon fiber. There is a knock of company making a fake rear CF spoiler that looks like a sticker type or a printed type. If you got your's from Mitsubishi it most likely has the real CF. Also no two CF wings are the same since they are all hand made look at some of the others on the lot.

 

Look for air bubbles and inperfections under the sun

 

Yea its in the middel section only and I think it could be real since it was made by Will check it out when I have time. Thanks.

 

Take a circular saw and cut through the wing in the middle. You should be able to identify the CF that way.

If you look closely at the carbon the weave of the fabric will have a three dimensional look to it because, it is. Really crappy fake carbon is just a checkered print. Now if it is real carbon but, still a knockoff the weave of the carbon usually isn't very straight or uniform.

 

You would know with saw not only becuase of the obvious but, also because carbon is really hard on blades. If you cut your wing and your still not sure try cutting something else. If your saw doesn't cut for sh*t now it's probably real. LOL
