intake or exhaust

wich would create a better sound? I figured if i put an intake on my car it would sound good just because of the stock "sport tuned"exhaust...but Im tryin to decide if the greddy evo 2 exhaust would make it sound better..i dont have the money for both right now so please give me some advice..thanks

My understanding is that Evo exhausts don't fit RAs. Also, if that exhaust is a catback, you could get both an intake and exhaust if you go with the RRM axleback ($299). A catback exhaust isn't necessary unless you throw a turbo on there. NA setups don't need larger piping.

yeah, even on my ES, the intake made a good bit of difference in the sound, cheifs 1919 (mike) has a CAI on his ralli art and even from 20 feet away the stock exhaust souns damn nice, a little rumble.

the ralliart exhaust is free-flowing, enough that the only difference you'll see from an aftermarket setup is an increase in sound.

You'd be much better off getting the intake, man.

I'd go for the intake first also. I loved the sound from my short ram and it was loud enough to drown out even my exhaust until I got my catback.

As for the evo, I've heard that open element filters can cause boost spikes (vishnu reported it first?) but definitely make the bov a lot louder. Not sure about effects on the exhaust though.

Oh the intake does do good for increased horsies.......you might just have a problem with running lean and your car stalling. Some people have that problem, some don't

As for sound, Whooooooosh. Sounds like a quieter BOV.
