3 ACD lights on
that really has nothing to do with any of those parts. It can be your pump or you are past due for a drivetrain fluid change....check that out man. Take it to a dealer or a good Mitsu shop and have them check ur ACD pump and all fluids. Good luck man
Ahh, newport news, I'm just up the road in Williamsburg...Anyhow, yeah that is not at all related. I don't know if it could show anything pending, but what about checking for OBD codes? There may be something pending that hasn't shown the CEL yet. Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but can't the latest version of Evoscan monitor/check ACD status?
OP, unplug your battery, take center console off (where the handbrake is) you will see 2 black sensors, unplug them, plug them back in the same place and then reconect your battery. If the problem persist, maybe then you could start to consider other solutions. Don't go out and buy a new pump just yet
the easiest and most simple thing to do is go to your local mitsu dealership, they have an acd reader, they can tell you exactly what is wrong with it, but don't give the okay to work on it until you know whats wrong, other than that your just wasting your time like trying to fix a cel with out the obdll scanner
Also i had a buddy that blew whatever fuse is connected to the positive terminal on the battery and gave him all three lights. dont know what that fuse is but it was his problem.

Turn the ignition to the on position, jumper pins 1 and 4 on the OBDII port. Count the ACD flashes. They are reference the manual, as well as a comprehensive trouble shooting guide (they KNEW these pumps were going to be a problem!). It will tell you exactly what is causing the lights to go on. It can be SEVERAL things. It fairly easy to diagnose though. What you don't want to see is code 82, that is a pump failure. If you have any additional questions PM me.

I had them flash on once. Took the cap off to check the fluid level, looked fine. Put the cap back on. Damn lights started coming on every other day getting worse when it got hot out. Checked again and I didn't have the cap on correctly.
Fixed cap and the every other day occurence stopped. I did see the lights come on once after that on a really hot day, but not again since. I believe it's been a couple months now. I know if I take it to mitsu they won't be able to recreate the occurrence and I'll have wasted my time. For now, I know the pump works.
you can also listen to see if the pump is working by turning the key to on and pressing and holding the gas pedal.
