that really has nothing to do with any of those parts. It can be your pump or you are past due for a drivetrain fluid change....check that out man. Take it to a dealer or a good Mitsu shop and have them check ur ACD pump and all fluids. Good luck man

Ahh, newport news, I'm just up the road in Williamsburg...Anyhow, yeah that is not at all related. I don't know if it could show anything pending, but what about checking for OBD codes? There may be something pending that hasn't shown the CEL yet. Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but can't the latest version of Evoscan monitor/check ACD status?

The 3 lights means ACD pump is having issues. GL hope you don't have to replace that pump :/

We need to stop saying this as if it where the only reason the 3 lights come up. I had all 3 lights come up just because I was doing some electrical installations and somehow moved/touched the g-sensors under the center console. After I plug them in tight the problem was solved.

OP, unplug your battery, take center console off (where the handbrake is) you will see 2 black sensors, unplug them, plug them back in the same place and then reconect your battery. If the problem persist, maybe then you could start to consider other solutions. Don't go out and buy a new pump just yet

the easiest and most simple thing to do is go to your local mitsu dealership, they have an acd reader, they can tell you exactly what is wrong with it, but don't give the okay to work on it until you know whats wrong, other than that your just wasting your time like trying to fix a cel with out the obdll scanner

Are you still under warranty? If you have a pump failure it would be covered. Just get to a dealership to have them check the codes. Good luck

Turn the ignition to the on position, jumper pins 1 and 4 on the OBDII port. Count the ACD flashes. They are reference the manual, as well as a comprehensive trouble shooting guide (they KNEW these pumps were going to be a problem!). It will tell you exactly what is causing the lights to go on. It can be SEVERAL things. It fairly easy to diagnose though. What you don't want to see is code 82, that is a pump failure. If you have any additional questions PM me.

I totally agree! There is a ton of misinformation out there when it comes to diagnosing this problem.

you can also listen to see if the pump is working by turning the key to on and pressing and holding the gas pedal.

I had them flash on once. Took the cap off to check the fluid level, looked fine. Put the cap back on. Damn lights started coming on every other day getting worse when it got hot out. Checked again and I didn't have the cap on correctly. Fixed cap and the every other day occurence stopped. I did see the lights come on once after that on a really hot day, but not again since. I believe it's been a couple months now. I know if I take it to mitsu they won't be able to recreate the occurrence and I'll have wasted my time. For now, I know the pump works.

That usually means the pump is on it's way out. Mine stopped working in all but the winter months. I've read of people thickening the oil with good results. It will keep the pump reaching pressure for a little while. I decided to just find a low mileage good condition used one and slap it on. Dealership will laugh at you if you have mods. This thing is so damn expensive they fight hard.
