Buschur Racing, NEW EVOX exhaust
I would gladly post a video with the stock cat/downpipe but it could be awhile before we install one.
Last night on the way home I was thinking of how I can better describe the sound in the car at speed. I figured it out. Not sure how many different sound systems the EVO comes with, ours does not have navigation, so I am assuming it is a standard system in the car.
With the windows up in the car at 60 mph I can clearly hear the radio at level 25 on the radio and at 27 it is where I would drive to listen to the radio. (that's if my head isn't bumping around to the beat of course). I then drove the car up to 80 mph again with the windows up and I could then listen to the radio comfortably at 30-32 on the volume setting.
With the windows down at 80 mph I have to go to about 36 on the setting so I can hear it comfortably.
I hope this can put the sound level into a better perspective. If the EVO comes with an amp for the NAV unit I'd guess those settings would be lower than my standard radio is.
The exhaust does rotate slightly on the hangers and connection at the catback tubing, that is how you can adjust the distance between the tip and the rear diffuser.

Big favor to ask. If you can do this, it would make a lot of guys reading this thread very happy.
Can you please take a video of your car before you put the exhaust on? Maybe do one with the car parked and the camera behind the car. Rev it up and down. Then maybe do a WOT pull with the camera inside the car heading down a smooth road. Then maybe do a highway run at 65mph cruising and then maybe 80mph cruising.
Then, install the exhaust and do all the same videos (same roads, etc).
That would give us a direct noise level comparison between stock and the new exhaust.
I realize that's a lot to ask of someone, but if you could we would all be very grateful

We got really busy this week, thank you guys for the orders! This new exhaust is a winner, I can't wait until all you guys start getting them and getting them installed. You are going to love them.
I got mine in today and installed. I dont have access to a video camera like I thought I would so I dont think I will be able to post any videos of it. I will get some pictures as soon as I can. My first impressions of it are that it is pretty quiet. It has a very deep tone. I think it sounds the best when downshifting. It also sounds great at idle but my intake drowns it out when accelerating. Evey thing fit good. The clearances around everything were perfect. My only concern was that The flange on the Buschur exhaust was larger than the factory flange on the factory cat pipe. Because of this I had to remove the heat shield from the cat pipe. It also took a little work to line up the two flanges and I used an impact to tighten it down but I still have a small leak. The only fix I see for this is an aftermarket test pipe.
I do like the exhaust. I think it sounds fantastic, but be aware that it is fairly quiet. I noticed that cruising at 60 mph it was just as quiet as the factory exhaust. I could see myself putting on a hi-flow cat or test pipe some day.

Thank you VERY much for the write up Spool. Very glad you like it and I am so glad you are in agreement that it is quiet! You should have felt a power increase going from stock to this, how's the car feel?
Thanks again for the write up.
