MR MSRP = $35,986 per my dealer
Well, to close this thread, I want to apologize for the misinformation (in other words, "lie") told to me by my local dealership, Performance Mitsubishi of Cincinnati, OH. Apparently, they believe they can lie, cheat, and swindle their potential customers into paying almost $1,000 above MSRP and *then* tack another $1,000 of dealer mark-up on top of it.
I hope most Mitsu dealerships are more ethical...if not, MMNA is screwed since you can't buy one of their cars without dealing with utter slime.
Again, I'm sorry for the bad info...that's the last time I'll believe a Mitsu salesman about anything.

As it stands now, you get a six speed (which I have to admit is tempting) blacked out headlights, BBS wheels (marginally lighter than the Enkei's)
and the upgraded shocks and thats about it. Nice package but, there is one thing missing, the HP upgrade!

P.S. Good to finally hear an MSRP that sounds legit.
Check the mitsu web site they have the prices released.

Performance tried to screw me too, I got up and walked out - when I was supposed to be signing all the paperwork. I did however get a great deal at Wyler Mitsu in Florence. I can probably put you in touch with someone there if you want.

[QUOTE=cmf]Sentinal: I've had several dealers quote me prices on a nicely optioned 2005 STi for under $32K, including destination. I don't know what part of the country you live in, but damn, I'm glad I don't live there.

Don't think anyone should change their mind of getting the Subaru. The MSRP might be 35,000 but i just for a dealer that i can get alot better price for that car. Guess you guys should just the EVO MR instead of the STI

So with our 6% sales tax, that means that an 05 STi, for me is $33,231.
That's what STi _I_ am looking at. They have at least 20 on the lot, feel free to call them, or visit www.mastrowrx.com if you want your own.
FACT: With typical markup and tax the MR is pushing 40K. Yeah, no thanks. For 40K, I'll buy an Elise.

Interesting info - thanks.
Subaru seems poised to out sell
big time on this one again.MT says the 05 Sti is alot better handling than the 04 Sti too.
I think the MRs will still sell out - but the Sti looks like a better value.
