Just spoke with the Service Manager at my dealership - he confirmed the TSB is out - I should be squeek free on Friday (I previously posted that it went away - that lasted about a day - it came back - fast and furious).

what more do you need to know other than it is out? As I am having mine done on Friday, I'll ask if I can have a copy of the TSB - I'll let you know

I just bought a MR about 3 weeks ago and noticed at rattle coming from the windshield or A pillar on passenger side. The rattle started at around 350 miles or so.I have about 800 miles now and it is still there and very noticable if the windows are up with no music on.If it doesn't go away soon I will take it to the dealer. No other problems so far with the car.I love it.

Wow I thought I was the only one with the rattling noises. After hitting the big 6,000 I notice some rattling on the driver side door only when it's close. Now it's making noices at the passenger side on the back. Gotta see some recall. Hey one question, if I take my car in for a service due to malfuntion of my sigarett lighter. Will they fix it under warrenty?

I AM SQUEEK FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!

TSB-05-42A-005 Released March 2005 (titled: Winshield creaking noise while driving)

1 Test drive to verify noise is coming from A pillar area
2 use a soft trim stick to remove the side windshield moulding from the cowl trim - do not remove the cowl trim for this procedure
3 obtain adhesive-backed thin felt material from BSR kit (MR991752) Cut six felt pieces, approx 70 mm x 5 mm
4 Remove the liner from the back of the felt pieces. Affix the felt on the inner clips. Affix one felt piece to each of the three inner clips Repear on the other side.
5 Be sure that the outer moulding clips (four on each side) are securely attached to the body retension stud. IF the clips are not properly attached, noise may result
6 Reinstall the windshield side moulding
7 test drive to verify the noise is eliminated.

Takes .4 hrs to do - I recommend everyone with the creak to it asap - I feel like the car has been born again - I didn't realize how much that creak annoyed me!!

mine has the rattling noise the first day i drove back. And this problem can be fixed, and i fix mine already. just open up the windshield seal and you will see plastic pieces, remove them and tape electrical tape underneath, it really helped, the noise was driving me crazy. but now everything is good.

cant post pics - don't have the tsb - just copied it. Also it is from the outside (nothing is done inside the car).
