brought mine to the dealer had my car forever then said they couldnt figure it out so i had to point it out them and tell them to just tape it, soo annoying but it is alot quieter!

 

Looks like I just join the club.

Picked up my '05 RS last Friday and the damn windshield creaks like there's no tomorrow.

My wife said the creaking noise remind her the sound from horror movies....

 

5000 miles and the noise persists...

 

2005 Evo VIII here. I started another thread until I saw this one, but here's one I've started on SoCal Evo. I will go to the dealer eventually. Does Mitsu have an "official" fix for the dealers yet, not just some tape job?

got 05 as well and noise seems to be gone after about 5000miles...

 

My '03 (August '03 build) does it too only on the passenger side. It's relatively rare and seems to happen only when exposed to major temperaure variations (for SoCal). It doesn't seem to leak and will eventually stop after the temperature has stabilized.

I agree that it's not worth a trip to the dealer unless something drastic is happening.

 

03 gsr here with the same problem. right rear side door or windshield. creaking, cracking, rattling.. more noticeable depending on the weather. it actually started after we had that snow storm in the east coast. i was thinking of just waiting until the weather gets better but i can't stand it anymore. it is fockin annoying.
i'm bringing in my car on monday and see how it goes. also need them to check my
L/F AND L/R suspension knocking over slow bumps on slow speed. i heard lot of you guys have that problem also. sounds just like strut mount going bad. and car only has about 7k miles.

 

I own a 2005 MR (1021 miles) that has a creaking windshield and squealing brakes. Oh, I forgot the rattling dash. Everyone with these problems needs to report them to the dealer under warranty. Otherwise that TSB / Factory fix will not magically appear.

 

i just spent 30 mins reading all nine pages of this post, to determin I have the same loud brakes and the most annoying rattling sound in the a pillar, or atleast thats where it sounds like its coming from.

Same here.I have a 04 and I get wind noise from my windshield on the driver side. Taking my car in to the dealer ASAP.

 

brand new 2005 gsr, passenger side lower corner of windshield squeek.

Had a similar problem in my vehicle. Took the A-Pillar plastic molding off, listened for the nosie, found two things rubbing togeather, and put part of a black and mild box in between them and it was fixed! Now my sub makes something rattle...that the next thing I've gotta find.
