If you don't buy it for sticker, someone else will. And at the end of the year when maybe they have some left they want to clear out, they will call you then. Until then, good luck.

and its because of people like you who are content to pay sticker that the rest of us have to fight not to. the people with that attitude have no idea how the system works. you can get them to do things they don't want you to if you know what you're doing.

the trick is to make them want to sell you the car more than you want to buy it. not that hard to do. if you're content over paying for vehicles, that's fine. don't come in here trying to blast those of us with backbones that don't. i've never paid over invoice for a vehicle, so i damn sure don't intend to start paying full sticker on this one. the dealer can only do to you what you let him do. the customer is in control, unless you're a weak *** lol

You've never paid over invoice because you've never bought a rare car that is in demand. You really think that you're the only one who negotiates the price of a care? Man, I need to learn your mad skillz.

Hang, you'll get an Evo IX MR below sticker once sales slow down. Sit back and wait for awhile. Supply and demand. Or use your mad skillz and, oh yah, you know business becasue you took a class. Good luck.

i just need to stop responding because you don't know sh it about sh it, and you keep proving it over and over. if you think the only time you can get an evo below sticker is however long down the line you're a bigger idiot than your posts make you out to be. doesn't take "mad skillz" (which is gay so i wish u'd stop saying it) all it takes is a backbone, and being informed...possibly a little creativity. like i said, if you want to pay sticker, pay sticker. stop hating on the guys who don't like giving away money they dont have to. it's not our fault we aren't idiots. it seems the car industry is doing their job better than i thought if you actually go into the sale with that attitude that you've already lost before you even get started. when i was in sales, i loved finding a sucker like you lol

I'm in auto sales, and I would kick a customer like you to the curb in skinny minute. Too many other prospects, repeat customers, and reasonable people to deal with.

At my dealership (not a mitsu place), no customer is allowed to put a deposit on a car until we've agreed on numbers for the car. What's the purpose of putting a deposit on a car if you haven't agreed up the sales price? Any dealership that would allow 2 salespeople from the same dealership to "fight" for your business is a poorly run dealership with bad management.

I work at a high-line dealership now and did spend several years in the past working for a mitsubishi dealership. If I had a dollar for every young punk you said there mom or dad was going to buy them an evo or an eclipse, I'd be a rich man. I'm glad I'm not there anymore.

I think all mitsu dealership are poory run down here in Louisiana. I got an 03 in 03 (they came out in the spring i beleive) for 27500 and the sticker was 32,xxx. At that time there were stealerships in CA that were marking up 9,999 above sticker. So, down here the dealerships are glad to get someone to buy EVO to get them off the lot. My dealership said they will never get annother EVO again. So far they are right. 2 1/2 years no new EVO's.

Lake Charles and Baton Rouge have been the only places with EVO's.

getting a 9 mr anytime soon for the price you want is going to be hard. You have to realize how many other people come in there right after you leave and will pay what the dealer wants. They know this, they know how popular the car is....you leaving doesn't hurt their feelings or business in the least bit. The car will still sell, whether you get one or not is on you.

Yeah right, they're going to hold the car for you with a deposit until the end of November so you can then come in and negotiate a deal.

And you really think they don't know you are trying to work two salespeople, managers, or teams against one another? They will eventually find out. And even if they are poorly run and they don't, it will still backfire on you.

I'm sure in your year and half in the car business you aquired all the experience you needed to become the very best in the universe at beating up salespeople with all the vast knowledge you gained and the world awaits with manic anticipation for your self help guide about power negotiations is availble. LEt us kNow hOw it WoRKs oUt!

First there are certain cars that will never be had for sticker small runs, limited editions etc... the evo is not one of those cars. However the evo is a good seller for hurting mitsu dealers and they will try to extract their profits from those sells. Getting an evo IX for invoice in 05'/06' good luck not going to happen for , now getting 500 off sticker is no big deal.

Pitting 2 salesmans against each other at the same dealer, now that is just stupid. They don't controll the price on the deal at all and do you really thing a sales manager one who has meetings to build up team spirit is going to **** one salesman off and make a deal with you with the other. Get a clue!

Just be straight up with them. I want to pay this much and I am going to give my business to the dealership that can make that happen. No bs needed. Don't be shocked if it is harder to buy an evo then you think. The evo 8 was out for over 2 years before the factory gave an incentive to the public.

PS we bought my wife an 06' explorer last night, the truck has been out for no more then 2 months and we got 2500 in rebates and 5000 off sticker. The evo is no explorer.

You're the idiot for starting a thread like this and I'm just having some fun. Is this your first car? When do you get your drivers license? Have fun and good luck. After all, you've had an extensive 18 month career in sales so you're far better equiped then me. I've owned more cars then you've been alive in years. The best way to cut a deal is to be cool and work with your dealership. Do some research, know what you're willing to pay, and if it doesn't work out go home. Being a d*ck isn't going to get you far. BTW, I don't pay sticker for a car unless it's rare and difficult to find. An EvoIX MR right now, is rare and you're going to pay sticker. It might be a different strory in six months. Talk sh*t after you buy the car not before. OK, tough guy.

Come on guys, don't scare him away! This thread is quite comical!

ODUB, you are exactly the reason why car salesmen have such a negative image.

I tend to agree. I know Levis hates the Evos they get because they have trouble moving them... although their unhelpful, confrontational sales staff may play into that.
