Evo availability?
Evo availability?
So I'm on the hunt for an Evo in the Minneapolis area. I have access to dealer auctions, Manheim auctions & Manheim.com, and saw a yellow '03 go through for $19500 with 33k on it. So I called a local dealer since they have a used one to talk about it and see if they are the people that bought the yellow one. I always take what salesmen say with a grain of salt. He proceeded to tell me that Mitsubishi announced that they will not be importing the Evo after 2006. I googled it and didn't find a press release so any insight would be great so I can be prepared next time I talk to him about price.

Salesman are just trying to lure you into buying what they have at that particular moment. They just want to make a sale. I dont listen to what they say either, because most of the time, Im right. Im in Orlando, a dealer here has 3 Evo 9's, they have a gsr, an rs, and an mr. So they cant be that hard to find. I also saw an evo run through manheim here in Orlando, it was an 03 with about 36k miles and went for 17,600. Seemed like a good deal if it wasnt beat to hell, I didnt get to check it out.
The only time to listen to dealers is when they are selling one particular type of vehicle, ie if they are an Evo specalist, ie Extreme/Ralliart UK.
a dealer where they sell them everyday, and know every aspect about them.
All I can say is good job we have the internet so we can source the vehicle. otherwise the salesmen would be one up on us.

I wouldn't pay attention to what the salesman says. When I began looking into buying an evo, I found one on autotrader.com at a dealership. I contacted the dealer and the salesman I spoke to said it was the last one left in New England. He told me I should get down there as soon as I could to check it out. When I got there there were three on the lot, granted two them were already sold, or so he told me. They are salesman, saying what ever they can to sell their product.
