A better question is how long does the battery take to charge... and how the heck DO you charge it especially on long road trips.

Last I checked gas stations are still only selling... gas.

you send more power to them

and cool them better would be my start

just an idea.

I would like to see a small diesel motor under the hood that could run power back into the battarys to try and help with recharge while you are running around.

Sick.. 375 ft. lbs torque and 260 hp - and still a prototype. According to the article we'll be getting the iMIEV supermini in 2008, and the MIEV Evo 2010+... by then i'm sure battery tech will be even better to improve range.

We've been down the road for electrics before, the GM EV1, the patents of which was bought by oil companies, then the whole program got annihilated. Big surprise. This is why I can't wait for electrics from Japanese automakers rather than the oil company backed US hydrogen tech.

0-60 in 6.9? but 270bhp is good. they really need to work on having torque out of the hole with thoes electric motors.
