Why is there so much hate towards the EVO X?
Do you guys know what car Mitsubishi is targeting its X with? Clue: It's not the STI. Answer this and you'll understand more on why there is so much "hate," as you describe it. Here's another question that may help you guys understand more: What was the focus of the Evo? Or, what's the new focus of the X?

Fanboys talk trash, what ya gonna do.
Before someone gets emotional, let it be known that I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest here. I'm offering some food for thought, some fuel to feed the discussion.
Gilliam, I recommend that you keep it civil and tone it down. Hell, I recommend you edit your thread before the mods see it. Such attitude is gonna get you banned from this forum fast. Just keeping it real, buddy. Searching is the way to go. Question in your mind and search with your computer. You'd be amazed at what you can find on your own.
jk, I hear what you're saying, and in my opinion you're absolutely right. The moneymakers are the ones that make the car more accessible. To me, the idea of more kids owning evo's and doing their gangsta lean takes away from the purity of the car, but oh well, it makes more sales for Mitsu.
Then again, they thought making a PG-13 Die Hard (blasphemy!) would get more butts in the seats...what's that movie at now? 9th? 10th place? lol
It's a gamble whether or not the new Evo will be embraced by a larger audience, one not quite so dedicated to driving as the "purists" out there, but only time will tell.
can do that _and_ give us a more comfy car, then I'm all for it.And people reaaaallly need to get over the paddle shifters. Geeez! If you don't like the semi-automatic, then buy ... the ... 5-speed. The inclusion of a non-manual tranny is long overdue and will only help to sell the car in the U.S.

However, directions change. Dr. Evo doesn't make the final decision as to what Mitsubishi Motors will do with the X. It's the executives that are charged with bringing Mitsubishi Motors out of the American gutter. I'm sure if Dr. Evo were to have his way, he'd keep the Evo as raw as ever, the focus to remain on performance.

Factual, yes, but how old was that article? 2005-ish maybe?
As for me needing to calm down or being a douche, that's fair. I easily could've been perceived to have been showing an attitude. That was not my intention, however. I'm sorry to those whom I offended, sincerely.

And just because the X will be softer, less hard-edged, doesn't mean it's gonna suck. Really, do M3s suck?
Its not like i asked you specifically, that acronym kept coming up so i asked and it took you what.........half a second to type it??
