Why is there so much hate towards the EVO X?
Like I said Not hating on the evo X. I think its a great platform but more economy focused targeted towards daily driving but there are probably about ten thousand more CZ4A's than CT9A's in north America alone since it was also produced for Canadian market, unfortunately making it less unique/desirable. OP started the thread because this in generally what most in the car community think.
CT9A is a completely re-designed chassis in every way from the standard lancer. Only things it borrows is the roof panel, front doors and the trunk. Thats it. With the evo x, practically every panel/bumper except the rear doors is interchangeable through bolt on. Throw a lancer bumper on an evo x it will bolt right on. Then try it with the evo 8/9 and see what happens. The headlights and taillights are even the same mold. Its basically the same car. The ct9a just has special perks to it that the X doesn't. Momo steering wheel, cf spoiler, magnesium valve cover ect from factory to show Mitsubishi cared for quality and design that made it more unique. I didn't make it that way. It just is.
At this point, anyone that is stating that a CZ4A is a lesser platform than the CT9A, then they are straight up being ignorant.

It's the end of 2021, I shouldn't have to. The 10 has been out for over thirteen years now. If people are still spouting ignorant BS, that is on them. Body parts are the most basic bits and if you don't know that both the CT9A and CZ4A are based off a normal lancer, then I dunno what to tell you.

A gtr is based ona skyline, M3 is based on the 335i, gt 500 is based on a v6 mustang, lancia integrale evo is based on lancia delta, amg is based on a regular c class and so on..this is no secret that car manufactures use a street version to make a sport version. I just found mitsu didn't accomplish enough change with the evo x to separate it from the standard lancer.

who on earth buys these type of cars for the interior? Older gtr interiors are just as plastic and basic as the evo 1-9 but fetch up to 3 time the price of a new gtr. People who buy these cars are interested in collection/heritage/performance. Not cushy features to heat their bums and a leather interior.

wtf do you know anything about these cars? They had all the same internals the engine is the same 4g63 up to the 9 in 2006 except even more improved. Everyone knows the 4 is by far the most rip off Evo ever.
