Mark-ups Suck!!!!!

Ok so I called Rick Case Mitsubishi in Duluth Ga and spoke with David the "Sales Manager". He told me that they have 2 X coming in around Jan 08 time frame. He also said that there is going to be a 10k mark up on it. With a 5-10k deposit. WTF??? I then called some places in Cali and they are already taking deposits and the most I heard they are taken is 1K for a down payment.

anyone have any info on this?

I'm leaning on a G37, bmw 335i, or the evo x and if it's going to be around 50k then they're out of their mind.

"Do you wear bandit masks at work, or do you grease the customers' as* when you first walk in?" That should have been your second question to the "sales manager."

Wait a few more months, and the gouging will subside../

Contact York Mitsubishi. NO MARKUPS. List price only, $500 refundable deposit. You get your car when your name is up on the list.

Contact Derek Meluzio, tell him Dave Mac suggested you contact him.

People will buy a $40,000 Evo, but not a $50,000 Evo. I doubt there will be a markup nearly that high.

Why wouldn't they? People paid 35-36K for MR's. To pay $4000 to be one of the firsts to have the X that $4000 would be worth it. To me? No...paying a markup is just putting even more money into the stealerships hands.

Huntington Beach Mitsubishi is taking $500 deposits. Plus they are giving people who put down a deposit a discount off of MSRP. They haven't said how big of a discount yet but, anything is better than a mark-up.
