^ I'll second that. The general culture in Japanese manufacturing is one that's much more positive that here in the US. Happy employees do better work. i don't think anyone can disagree with that.

I will say that my wife's Outlander GT beat everything we compared it with hands down. We drove a Forester XT, Rav4 V6 and CR-V EX in the same day (Outlander was last) and my wife said immediately that the Mitsu was the car. Best seats, best stereo, best handling (by a lot) the cheapest by about $3k, and she gets 25 mpg on the highway. It also has the most rear legroom. Mitsubishi did a great job with the Outlander, and my Evo has been tuned since about 3k miles and has never had any problems. I think a lot of the consumer complaints are perception and not reality.

Haha good point, I was meaning the other vehicle line ups they have. Although, if it came down to a ralliart or the 11' wrx, I think I would lean pretty hard to the wrx. Unless price was much higher on the WRX and out of my budget.

Was just at the Mitsu dealer last week where I purchased my EVO IX back in the day. Was there to see a used Trailblazer SS and the salesman asked what about looking at "new cars". I told him I have the EVO X and not interested at all in any other Mitsubishi new cars.

And yes, the Trailblazer SS sits next to my EVO now

my buddy's Evo VIII has not had a single problem in the 4 years he's owned it. that list is bull****. every Ford i've ever driven has a cheap feel to it. hell, my mom's Windstar broke down a month ago, and it's been in the shop since, so she rented a 2011 Focus....piece of ****. Sure, it drives nice, but everything inside just has a tacky and cheap feel to it. It has terrible understeer too.

Cheap and reliable are two entirely different things. I'm not sure what cars you've been in but evo's interiors aren't exactly "high end".

unless you had it fully loaded with leather. now if you mean a lot of buttons and things to press. then yes, "its not really high end". i actually would replace "high end" with "streamlined". its designed for "it works, its fast as hell, tough luck". i used to drive a 93 pontiac grand am, the only buttons i had was the unlock button, the air buttons and the cassette radio. thats it. no power windows or nothing. i didnt really , care, by the way that car was POS!. anyways back on topic. in my oppinion if you want to drive a mitsu your probably not thinking in the same department as a cadillac.

Even the leather interior is extremely cheap quality. I ordered the leather door panels and installed them, better than the standard GSR....yes, but up to par with all my previous car interiors leather or even non leather.....NO.

I rate this cars interior with my 94 del sol way back in the day. It works, but that's about it, seats hold you in, that's all. Everything else sucks donkey b*lls.

We all bought this car for a reason, the interior wasn't one of them.

Meh, I don't take these surveys very seriously. Honestly many people don't even know about Mitsubishi. The whole thing was basically calling a bunch of people and asking them point blank what are the top quality brands. If someone asked me what the top quality car brands are I probably wouldn't even say Mitsubishi even though I've never had a single problem with one.

That's also why JD Power surveys are also BS.

If they could actually compare average warranty claims per vehicle between auto makers, Mitsubishi would be much much higher - I'm sure of it.

Besides having owing a 2010 Evo X MR. I also own a 2003 Montero XLS and I have not had one issue with it since buying it brand new. Its all about how you maintain and take care of your vehicle that determines how well it does.

I had a Del Sol as well and some of the bits in the interior were actually better than the X.

Haha .. Hey all of you should be thankful.. You shouldnt even worry about having an ugly interior since you'd just soil the inside.. Its just built to be fast .. All you need is a chair that would hold you
