That sucks, well it does make sense from Mitsu's point of view. They don't want it to compete with the Outlander Sport / RVR. Everyone would get the SE instead if it had the 2.4L.

the GT replaces the GTS no? so it has the 2.4L engine? and you can get that with AWD?

Just a little update for you guys on twitter this is what Mitsubishi had to say.

@4G63_Trav Sry for the late response. 2012 Lancer SE will be 2.4lt CVT, no manual.

So there will be no manual which sucks.

And....... FAIL. I no longer care, back to thinking about a turbo diesel for the next daily. To me a manual still matters more than AWD in something not sporty.

I have plans to get rid of my truck after my broken foot heals fully and I can drive the Evo again. I was really thinking about something newer with a warranty and this car had my interest.... *sigh*

/thread.

at least it'll have some juice... the 168hp GTS does 0-60 in like 7.2 seconds isn't it?

I suppose the SE should do it in high 6s? unless it's substantially heavier than the FWD GTS/GT that is

The SE will feature the all-wheel drive of the Ralliart and Evolution models, but will be paired with the naturally aspirated engine found in the current DE, ES (pictured) and GTS trims.

hmmm which AWD is it? the ralliart or the evo??? I was so exictied about this until I heard no manual - I'm still crossing my fingers that they change their mind on this,,,

I"m banking it's NEITHER. More than likely it's like the Outlander Sport's AWD.

Yah... forget about AYC lol... it won't be Mitsus' Super All-Wheel-Control, not even the RA has it
