You're probably right, didn't really pay the 08's much attention when I was shopping, wanted a 2011.

 

They are done making the Evo's now correct? And I love the 2011 they look good! But I guess all of them look good.

no major changes from 2011 at all.
as for pricing, well here i get ****ed over living north of the border (canadians pay more for everything) but i still got a pretty good deal, 52 for a fully loaded mr, without the spoiler lip and the gsr wing with extension and a set of winter tires when it retails for almost 54 up here.
although they can not officially sell them yet, you can go into the dealership and put a holding fee on a 2012, and if your holding fee is enough, you can get some leverage on them so they will change up their order to suit what you want on it. anything north of 5k and they know your serious, so they are willing to work with you

 

There is a dealer in CA that has about 60 of them. Around 4 MR editions if I am correct. South Coast Mitsubishi has around 36... So, plenty WW to chose.

 

they are set to announce the 2012s near the end of september/early october, so the sooner you go in, the better chance you have to put your name on one, since the dealerships will already know what they are getting in for 2012 for evos. the only thing they dont know is if a special edition is going to be announced in the spring or not. but i wouldnt hold your breath for that one

 

My bad, I have to correct my previous post. Those are 2011 models. I am sure the 2012 models will have to come with some kind of goodies if they are in fact the last model year. Get them while they last.

 

My local dealer said that new model year releases will be at the last week of October or first week of November.

Ya I may be ordering one soonish unless I can trade my Mazda 6 with about 25 grand into it. No car place will give me what the car is actually worth. I want one though because they "aren't" making them anymore. I bet they have something up their sleeve.

 

So the only changes are the shift light on the evos?

 

pretty much, and i heard something about an indicator light that is supposed to tell you when you are driving "green". haha, thats one light that will never be used in most of them.
