I was flirting with the idea of ordering a 2012 at a dealer yesterday. The only change they heard of was a reverse cam in the rear view mirror. Like alot of cars have nowdays. And a couple hundred bucks more.

If they make it a 6sdp manual...I might have to sell my 2011.

Yeah, I figured they wouldn't. :'(

It's okay, having the 2011 is good enough for me!

Why can't they turbo an eclipse? It looks ok at best to me and the performance is not that great..

Got another rumor about the 2012's. Went to a dealership today looking on info on Evos and how to reserve a 2012. Salesman asked his manager, who came over and said that Mitsu was not making any '12s or possibly even '13s. He stated that they would only produce more 2011s and just sale those until they ran out/new model came out. Best part was when he said "...this is what Mitsubishi has told me"

Either this guy was HIGHLY misinformed, or really trying to get me to buy that car that instant. Either way, this is too hard to swallow to even remotely believe. Just thought I'd share my experience from today.

FWIW I ordered a '12 MR a few weeks ago from a Mitsu dealer though another one said he had no idea if they were gonna make them and didn't even try to take my order. I'm hoping the non-order taking dealer was trying to get me to buy his '11 but have no idea since the amount of transparency I've gotten since putting the order has been pretty lame (I'm used to the MINI experience where they tell you every step of the production process for your order online).

They're cutting the eclipse from the line-up in 2013, this will be the last production year.

they just want u to buy a 2011... based on my experience with dealer**** managers... their one and only goal is to empty current model until 2012 arrives =)

I know that's what he was trying to do. I just feel bad for anyone who fell for it. I'm in no rush to get this car, cause I know I need to save money first. But best believe when the '12s hit, I'll be right there trying to get my new baby. Now if only I could find someone to teach me how to drive a manual...

I spoke with a Mitsubishi dealer and I was told that the 2012 model was unchanged.
