Spoke to a dealer yesterday. Absolutely no changes. The 2013 Evo models will hit the ground in November, the RA and Lancers are in already. No changes in those either. 2014 will be when the new model drops. Also, the dealer was telling me the new Evo's will have a "black box" of some kind, so that if you flash the ECU (even flash it back to stock) before you take it into the dealer the computer will pick it up.

That has been a myth, not only on Mitsubishi, but other car companies.
Just bull crap. I doubt there'll be anything like that

Dealers can already do that. They just don't tell you about it. Ask the master tech at your local dealership. Then again he might not want to tell you.

Here is the official NEWS MEDIA link for Mitsubishi. Has EVERY 2012 and 2013 vehicle being released and their pricing(invoice too), colors, trims and options. A GREAT site to book mark!!
http://media.mitsubishicars.com/

2013 EVO press release info, specs, available trims, options and colors http://media.mitsubishicars.com/chan...ncer-Evolution

The standard Lancers(NA motors) get NEW packages(deluxe, leather etc) and a few new colors and some colors eliminated. Check out the links I posted for ACTUAL Mitsubishi press release info and specs.

Apparently your definitions of black box varies from his. The black box you linked was in regards to accidents. He was talking about a black box that recorded changes to the ECU...

I have a White 2013 on order. I didn't know this.
I vowed not to buy a car with black box technology. So once I find out
100%, not for sure if I'll get it. To me that’s too much government
in our life.

I just read that article fully. Its an optional thing. So I doubt any of the 2013
models will have a block box in them.

Just got an update from the dealer. No Mitsubishi cars will have black boxes in 2013 model cars.
