2013 Evolution?
I just spoke with a dealer in Coconut Creek, Florida who told me the 2013 Evo X should arrive in US in about a month. The 2013 models will have minor cosmetic changes to lights, wheels, and interior. Engine, suspension and everything else is carried over from previous model year. I did not ask about new colors, price, etc.
Personally, I like the styling of the current model, but wish they offered the large spoiler in the MR trim, as well, as nicer wheels. The car seems to look better with the GSR trim rims, rather than the BBS. The ones Mitsu had in the Evo X concept would look wicked. I also think the wheel well is so big in these cars they begg for 19" stock rims.
Well, at this point I will wait to get a fully loaded 2013 X MR, as I think it will become a collector's car and will be last of it's generation. With so many unknowns about the XI and the direction Mitsu is taking it, I will buy the 2013 and enjoy it for a few years until something better comes along.

I wish to know, what kind of lights will be used.
Hopefully Mitsu will do something to distinguish the 2013 models a little bit and retire the X in style.
I got it for 39k (2012 GSR WW with SSS package, leather + sunroof) and was able to negotiate my APR to be lower as well, but the deal came in on my trade... they were able to increase their initial offer to 21.5k (my pay off on my GTI), when they initially offered me 18k (-3.5k hit for me). Carmax only offered me 14k.... made no sense, but that was the deal breaker for me. I had all the paper work done on the last day of June which also happened to be the last day of the quarter as well... I am sure that had something to do with them increasing the offer on my trade in.
The car's original sticker price was 43.4k... if I had waited for a new 2013, I would've gotten raped

Coconut Creek Mitsubishi in Florida has a fully-loaded 2012 Evo MR in silver for around $37,000 - an incredible price. Since this will be my first Evo purchase, I will likely wait for the 2013 models. IMO, the last X will be a classic among collectors and tuners, more so since it's also the last Evo for a long while. I might not get as good a deal on the 2013s, but I am OK with that.

I was hearing the '13 would be identical to the '12... I could be wrong as no one has seen one or heard much about it... but if you like the MR and Silver, I'd go after that car... you're easily going to pay top dollar if you go for the '13s when they're out. Not worth 6-7k extra imo..
There is actually a stealership down the road from me who still has a brand new 2011 sitting on their lot, it has something like 25-30 miles on it. The only option it has on it is the interior sport package (shift knob and e-brake handle) for something like 31.

... they found it in GA. Hope you find one!
