2013 Evolution?
it's funny I picked up my gsr yesterday and I was the 1st customer in the morning and was there till 4pm only seeing 2 other walk ins.
i looked at how i needed a car asap and the evo was 1 of the few cars that held value down in so cal. i've seen evo 9 sell for $25k here. anyways it's all guess work right now if there will be a new model that soon. i'm sure mitsu and subaru are trying to devise their plan of attack.

Not sure if this is even a real Mitsubishi website but on the second page of pics, it has pictures of the 2013 GSR and MR. Looks just like the 12's.

I'm pretty sure it will work the same way the IX worked out. The Evo IX was a 2006 model year car that was still sold all through 2007 as Mitsu worked on the release of the X. I bought my 2006 IX SE in summer 2007 as a brand new model. The same will happen with the X. They will continue to sell the 2012 model during 2013 and there will not be a 2013 model Evo, just as there is no 2007 model.

I think there is a big difference from selling a 2012 model into 2013, and a 2013 model with no changes from 2012.
You see car manufacturers often carry a model to the next year with no changes, but I think the VIN # will indicate whether it is really a 2012 or 2013 model.
I think depreciation is always a factor.

i called mitsu today and they told me july would be the release date for the evo.. they also said some dealers would be able to order earlier than that, so call around.
i also talked to my local dealer yesterday who said the evo hasnt changed for 2013 and he would be able to place an order in july.

I called a bay area dealer tonight and he said they have one smaller shipment of evos coming in, and then after that no more.. that may just be for the '12s tho, but May seems early to cut off the supply.
