A couple of inaccuracies to be addressed -- the first three dealerships (out of the five total, not four) were South Coast, Victorville and LONG BEACH (which was completely omitted), not Cerritos (which he acquired after Huntington Beach).

If you go to their dealership, they have tons of awards for selling the most Mitsubishis in a given month throughout the course of the year. Also, Abbas is cool with Manny Pacquiao and a number of other boxers, which is why you see his dealership logos on a lot of their gear, so he's keeping Mitsuishi logos in the public's eye.

That being said, I can see his plan -- I had noticed HB having more of the new inventory, though it seems as if he's trying to push SCM into being his store that sells higher-end used cars. There's always a few GT-Rs there, a few Porshes, Vipers, AMGs, etc., so perhaps potentially losing HB might screw up those plans.

 

Good honestly I hope all his stores go bankrupt. After purchasing two evos from them in the last 3 years, they tried to tell me the lowest payments they could do on a car with MSRP of 39,750 was a 5 year lease with payments of 675/month with 4k down. So you're telling me I can lease a car that costs 40k for 5 years and make total payments of $48000 after ttl, then I get to return the car to you? Gee where do I sign up? Bunch of idiots.

 

Are you sure about that? I've never heard of anyone doing a five year lease.

If you bought two Evos from them, they couldn't have been that bad if you went back to entertain a third. Maybe you were just dealing with the bad apples that day?

 

I purchased them within a couple weeks of each other and the only person I dealt with was Sam Smash. He's no longer there and he's also saying the same thing. He actually told me minimum 10k markup last week.

 

This is an easy situation. Don't buy an Evo over sticker.. tell your friends, family and enemies...Most Evo lovers should now better.

 

Just to check out if the South Coast Mitsu was true I called them and Glendale Mitsu. South Coast is saying $3000 above sticker; reason given is that the 2015's won't have Recaro's or possibly Brembo's. Glendale is saying $2000 above sticker just because they can do it.

 

Makes sense... not that I agree with it or support it.

But hey, should've bought one sooner.

Those numbers seem to be down a lot since last week. I'm sure they'll keep dropping as soon as people realize an evo isn't worth 50k, I don't care what options it has.

I agree with you. When you check out other dealers throughout the country many are doing huge discounts on Evo's right now.
