Cargo is a magazine of stuff to buy (read: shoes, shampoo, camping gear, etc) that made a list of their top 5 cars for 2005 (Aston Martin AMV8 Vantage; BMW M5; MR; Pontiac Solstice; VW Golf GTI). The front of the magazine is a guy putting on a shoe, yes I was disappointed too. The entire magazine is a catalog of random crap, but you pay for it and there is no number to order with...
I must confess I didn't pay much for the magazine; there was a five finger discount because there is just no way my welfare check can cover it. But I since did save up for the scanner bought out of the back of a car using tax payer dollars, I figured they should get a return on their investment. (Read: Arrr I bought that with your tax money.)

From everything I have seen so far I wouldn't trade for the MR. The 'improvements' just don't justify it. If I was still shopping I would go after one of the 03 or 04 EVOs still sitting on dealer lots. With a little patience you ought to be able to get a good deal. Use the money you save to pick up a Vishnu Stage 1+ kit and blow away the MR at the track. And still have money left over for magazines and government cheeze.

Looks OK, but I will stick with my car. We will probably be able to scavage the go fast bits off of totaled MR's in a few months, like the tranny and ACD, and transfer case in a few months.

no chance... MRs are going to be had by the hardcore drivers... no totaled bits for your amusement and advantage....
no mr, no 6spd.
no mr, no aycd.
live with the regret and enjoy the second baddest car on the road.
