Anyone pissed about the MR not being any quicker than a stock 03? They should have at least changed the gearing to make it faster.??
The times are indeed similar to the regular 03/04 Evo VIII and RS. Although tested by C&D at different times...the Evo did the 1/4 in 13.6@101 and the RS did it in 13.5@102. The improvement is in the handling of the MR.

Agreed... other than at the dragstrip the 1/4 mile time really is pretty worthless for most people who use their Evo as a daily driver handling and lateral acceleration is much more important. very few cars on the road are going to be able to hang with a mid 13 second car anyway even in a straight line let alone what the Evo is capable of in corners .... so unless your a hardcore drag racer 1/4 doesn't really mean that much.. and if you are a dragger WTF were you thinking spending 30k on an Evo when you can pick up a used cobra and drop 5k into the engine and run 11's
