removable ecu upgrade

What tuning device can I use that would be easy to remove to take it into the dealer? I would be interested in tuning an intake/drop in filter, ic pipes, bov, boost controler, turboback exhaust?

ECU+ will allow you to plug and play, then just remove if you like. nice setup with on board monitoring as well.

Apexi PowerFC. From what I've read, it's a complete plug-n-play replacing the stock ecu.

The PowerFC is a standalone unit and requires more than a quick swap, I THINK. Im not sure, at all. Sounds like an Apexi Super AFC is your ticket.

Okay, so it isn't COMPLETELY plug-n-play. I was informed that the only thing you have to do is "t" in the map sensor to the maf sensor, connect it to the PowerFC, and then connect the PowerFC to the ecu harness and call it a day. Doesn't seem too dfficult at all and does a whole lot more compared to the S-AFC. This isn't my personal opinion or anything....just giving some options

Oh, no, I wasn't saying it wasn't easy...but it seemed he wasn't looking for something quite as thorough as a standalone....but looking back at the original post, that can't be sure. Just the same, I figured it needs an IAT sensor, and MAP sensor installed, so to convert back and forth might be harder.

The unchip plug and play is nice. timing and fuel, and boost control if you want.

Yes I'm looking for something thats not too complicated to switch. If I was able to aquire another 05 ecu could i just get it flashed then swap it out or would I have to get it programed to my car? Would it have to be from another MR as well?

now that you mentioned it, i always wanted to know, will mitsu know that you reflashed your ecu if you take it in for basic maintenance?

Ive read that the 05 are aware if they have been tampered with. They would have to check for it but the dealer can do anything. Also if they drive it they might notice it running strong.

as i mentioned before , ECU+ is just plug and play and doesnt alert your computer of anything since it just feed into to the computer. swaping out ECU is great but you do have to have Mitsu flash it to your car and then they will know something is up. i guess you could tell them it was stolen and you got another for them to flash , then they will always think its your base unit.

here is the link.

I vote for ECUplus also! it's awesome if you swap it with a GM 3.5" MAF. You can tune HUgE turbos with it!
