Check Engine Light?

I have and 05 so i dont figure that i will get a code when using ecu+ but as i was reading up on the throwing of p0300, does it set the cel or just throw a code in the ecu.

The way the codes work is that the stock ECU first sets a "pending" code, which then gets to a "stored" code if the problem persists. When a stored code is set, the CEL is turned on. You'll be able to see this once I get the OBD-II stuff released.

BTW, I have an '05, and don't get the CEL unless I go to great lengths to mess up the software inside the ECU+. Some others have seen it once they install cams.

I am not sure what you are exactly asking but what the P0300 code does is it sets off the Check Engine (CEL) or as Mitsu calls it Service Engine Soon (SES) light. Is that what you are asking?

I am not referencing what the code does or why it is thrown just saying what happens when you have the code.

Did I answer your question?

Tom I wish there were someway you could tell ECU+ to ignore p0300. Or set a tolerance for it or something.

I understand your point, but...
Don't give him that idea. From dealing with him I think he's looking for ways to FIX it, instead of "sweeping it under the rug".
