Ecuflash, EvoScan and Mistulogger all work for me on my MBP running Parallels.

They also work fine when booted into Windows XP.

Vista is spotty, but it's mostly dependent on which .NET sdk/runtime you have installed. I've gotten all the above to work in Vista by installing .NET 2.0.

The biggest concern I had was that drivers for my Serial-to-USB adapter was not available for Vista; I ended up buying another adapter (Keyspan).

Parallels lets you run windows-based programs without having to reboot, correct?
Bootcamp will require rebooting?

Correct. However, their latest build which enables USB 2.0 screwed up the interface to my usb-to-serial adapter. The latest evo-tuning safe build is 3150. Since they don't direct link older builds I had to hack around a bit to find it. Here's the URL for 3150: http://download.parallels.com/RC/Par...20Mac%20en.dmg

Right now, yes. At the heart of it, when rebooted into windows XP/Vista, you're running a pure x86-windows architecture and you are free to treat tuning as if you were running all the logging software on a Dell. 0 worries.

As I do 100% of my day-job on the OSX side of things, it was more convenient not to have to reboot every time I got into my car, so Parallels build 3150 was good enough to handle mitsulogger/evoscan and ecuflash for basic tuning.

The one logger that failed consistently in Parallels (for me) is the Zeitronix logger. On the plus side, I never needed to use that piece of software unless I was doing comparison pulls (HP/torque). When doing basic logging, Wideband, EGT, and Boost from the ZT-2 were all recorded perfectly fine through mitsulogger (thanks MJ!).
