With your mods on a mustang dyno you may have to get cams to get above the 330 whp...with cams you could get over 330....and unless your friend has major mods...aka turbo upgrades etc. then your ix should put out more whp with similar mods
Well within the next few weeks Ive got a good amount of parts Ill be installing. Engine-wise, a Prosport turbo manifold, and a new 02 manifold if I can find the right one for the right price. So I should probably get a protune after that right?

I'd recommend you get protuned anyways....you already have stuff on your car that the base tune on the AP can't account for...just like me...with the ICpipes and coils...anything outside of what cobb says should be on a stage1 or stg2 car you should be investing in a protune.

I'm only chiming in because I saw my name mentioned numerous times throughout this very long thread and I just wanted to clear up a generalization that was made where I was mistakenly lumped in with other e-flash tuners.

I saw a case being made that said the Mellon Tune and AP tune are both canned tunes so they are the same. I can't speak for AP but I can tell you that I don't sell canned tunes, never have never will. I've tuned more EVOs then I can count and let's say you have 5 cars lined up with the exact same mods/boost/octane...I bet no two will end up with the same fuel/timing maps from me. Every car is unique.

I don't have a limitation on how many revisions I make to the ROM. I keep going until the tune is perfect. It's quite a bit of work for me to do 10-20 revisions per customer but each tune has my name on it and therefore it's extremely important to me that I go above and beyond on each and every tune.

I figure sooner or later people will start learning the difference in a Mellon Tune and the others that sell quick and dirty canned tunes.

Thanks to Bryan at GST for my protune! Not huge numbers, but the previous owner never provided documentation proving the car was ever at 300 hp anyway. My car dyno'd at 277 hp and 262 ft/lbs. of torque with max boost at 21.9 (averaging 18.2) and AFR's maxing at 12.5 (averaging 11.1). The car pulls REALLLY good. The original tune on the car was very violent in it's response (no real low end.....it would be no boost...no boost.....no boost...and then WHAM! get thrown into your seat). With the modified stage 2 protune, power is very fluid and in a pull in 4th gear from about 40 45mph, there was no let up....kept getting pushed harder and harder into the seat If I hadn't driven the car prior to seeing the numbers, I may have been slightly disappointed, but having driven the car first, I know that the car pulls harder and smoother than the car has ever been. So yeah, I thought I'd share my experience and give a plug for GST. Very professional group of people, very knowledgeable....and of course lots of fun cars to look at in the parking log while you are waiting! haha!

EDIT: OOPS! forgot to include my mods

HKS 272/272 cams
Buschur open air filter
RC Engineering 660cc injectors
Megan Downpipe
HKS Cat-back
Walbro fuel pump
Hallman MBC

Bryan said the numbers are pretty good given that I was on 91 wtih stock cat and stock '03 hotside. Said that if I change to the 10.5 hotside with a high flow cat, I should be able to achieve another 30 or horsepower.

Sounds like Bryan did a great job....I'm not too sure how much it would be to get the HFC and 10.5 hotside...but another 30hp for those components sounds worth it

Definitely considering the Cobb high flow cat. Does anyone know if it is a direct bolt on replacement of the stock cat?
