SpoCom Article
EDIT:

ORIGINAL POST:
OK, so I was killing some time at Borders and I picked up Sport Compact magazine, or whatever it is called, and they had a test of the Evo Access Port.

!
Ok, so I did not read it thoroughly, but I think they said stage 1 with Cali gas map raised hp from something like 255 to 270 on a dynojet. I am not sure on the exact numbers, but i think it was about what I just said. The article did not say what year or if it is a VIII or IX. I know I should be able to tell from the picture, but I couldn't. Also, they did not say (that I recall) whether they pulled the pill or not. If I got the numbers right, then that is like 5% change.
So I looked at the Cobb page, and read the maps descriptions for the various years, and I noticed the 2005 VIIIs make more % gain than the IX, according to the website. That seemed a little wierd, but maybe it is just me. The 2003 & 2004 make less % change than the 2005's.
Cobb says 2003/4 should make 2% better, 2005 make 13%, and 2006 make 11 %.
Thus, depending on what year Evo they tested, it either made a little more, or quite a bit less % than advertised.
Of course, as I said I just breezed over the article, so my number memory may be off.
Anyone else see it and know what year the Evo was?
Oh yeah, I also do not remember whether they did a boost test =/

I'm just glad that one of the mags has already gone out and tested the AP!
THe more press the better.....unless it is garbage press
....but I have the AP already and know for a fact it is everything it was said to be
Now maybe someone should actually READ this article who subscribes or whatever and report back.
I remember a class in college called notetaking 101
.......just playing....thanks CaliMR for letting everyone know about the write-up....i'll do my best to check it this weekend.

Evo 9 should have less % increase in #'s than an 8 because it baselines a bit higher to begin with. There is more room to make improvements on an 8 because it lacks MIVEC. That's my theory and I'm stickin to it.
Plus, for me college was not about taking notes
And grad school was more like this
It was the new one, maybe your store has not got it yet. Also, it was way at the back and only one page. I think it said something on the cover, otherwise I don't think I would have picked up the mag. I may just buy it and scan it, but I hate to pay for a whole magazine when it only has one page of any value
