Hey Guys, I have searched around a bit and I can't really find any straight answers. Does anyone know where I can have some race gas tested in the suffolk county area? A new gas station opened up very close to home and it is adverstising "Cam2" on the pump. I am a little suspect and I would like to take it somewhere and see exactly what it is. I believe they are claiming 104 octane, but who really knows. Any help/info is appreciated

 

Cam2 is Sunoco Racing gas. Unleaded 100-104 octane. Its good. I have run it for my high psi tuning.

 

iv got cam2 at a haffners near me. i think they claim leaded 104 octane for 7.75 a gallon.

 

cam2 race fuel = 100-104 octane......here its like 6.70 a gallon

 

104 unleaded. If I recall this stuff, it is great if you run it pure, but it doesn't dilute very well. So don't mix it with normal pump gas. Run it straight.

 

yeah this stuff is at a LUKOil so thats why im a bit shaded about it. Its definitly leaded and its almost $8bux a gal. I wanna get re-flashed runnin that wit meth, but if its junk then I dont wanna waste my time........SO I am assuming since this became a "race gas costs this much near me" thread, nobody has info on where to get the sh*t tested for actual octane

 

If its CAM2 its unleaded.

Smike is right. The CAM2 thing is just a marketing deal. I don't think Lukoil or ExxonMobil want to sell "Sunoco" race gas from their pumps.

 

just put in the stuff that says 110 race gas and smells like cherry and turn up the wick on the BC,,, although get tunned for it
