Reading CEL

I must be retarded.. I can't find any info on reading the CEL code.

Can I read it somehow with my tactrix cable?

How can I clear it?

Thanks!

Hmm, can mitsulogger? I don't have Evoscan yet.. Or ecuflash?

Edit: Just reflashed a saved map on there and it went away.

I'm still learning too, but anytime I flash a new map, the CEL goes away, but it will come back. I'm assuming it just resets it for a bit. There is a program called ScanTech that will tell you what code is popping up if your CEL is on.

Scantech and the newest version of EvoScan as previously mentioned. You can also just go to autozone and they can read your obd2 code. Disconnecting your battery or removing the ECU fuse will reset your ECU and clear the code, if the problem still exists it will come back. Reflashing does not do a ECU reset.

I reflashed and it went away, hasn't come back. Thanks for the advice, I have access to a scan tool but I was trying to do it with my laptop without having to borrow it.
