Over 600 whp, so you're a long ways away from needing to worry about it.

Really 600. I thought it started to max out around 400 or so. The shop that I go to, the owner told me that around that power range it's good to get an aem because your MAF sensor starts to max out and you can't tune the car to its full potential. Is this true or is he just trying to get me to buy a $2000 ECU upgrade?

It could also be that he doesn't frequent the development stuff, who knows.

I figure lots of shops just don't have time to stay on top of the evo scene in particular like they should. when I joined evom several years ago I was being told you cant' go fast on the stock mas too. I was told the same thing on the 3000/Stealth platform too, sometimes you have to ignore the gospel and just give it a try anyway
