Alright folks another update.

I actually took the car to Mitsu dealer, the last thing I wanted to do.

They spent 4 hours doing all the same troubleshooting I've done in this thread, they say its not the MAF, ECU or wiring between MAF and ECU (I already did all this). They tell me the fuel pump is not working when the MAF is connected and it needs to be replaced.

So I just installed a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, same problem!

Here is the thing, the car will run when the MAF sensor is unlpugged you can hear the fuel pump running fine.

When you start the car with the MAF sensor connected the fuel pump primes the car and it runs for a second but dies, and you can hear that the fuel pump is not running.

So it seems to be something not turning on or preventing the fuel pump from being turned on with MAF plugged in? Is one of the relays at the pump responcible for this? Has anyone seen this before?
