New firmware should be released in a couple weeks. This is the change log for whats coming.

Also the new version of VTS comes with basemaps for PnP V88 for just about everything they have. Minus the Evo 1-3 and Miata...so looks like they are going V88 for just about everything.

ECU Firmware Version Information

Firmware Version 4.9.7 (Rev 1455) - 21-01-13

Fixes

· Virtual Auxiliary switch logic was broken. This was a result of a fix made in V 4.9.6.

· Baro sensor calibration did not work correctly if external baro was selected.

· Fuel pump speed control defaulted to high speed on AC800 ECUs. Now defaults to low speed.

Changes

· Corrected Ford Coyote trigger and VVT offsets.

· Added DC bus (shows as CAS voltage) and fuel pump voltage (shows as 12V Int) measurements for AC800 ECU.

Firmware Version 4.9.6 (Rev 1395) - 21-11-12

New Features

· AC control for BMW Mini ECU incorporating AC pressure and evaporator temperature monitoring.

· New features required for the ViPEC Arctic Cat M800 ECU

· Trigger decoding including two stroke reversing.

· Arctic Power Valve (APV) Control.

· Sensor calibrations for ECT, EGT and IAT sensors.

· All other functionality required to support the new ECUs hardware and special functionality.

· Digital inputs can now be used on the throttle safety switch function.

· Suzuki J20A trigger decoding.

· Suzuki K6A trigger decoding.

· A new CE light mode has been added with different light flash pulse characteristics. This is compatible with some dash displays that convert the signal into numbers displayed on the screen.

· Added Ethanol %, Ethanol Temp and Differential Fuel Pressure as GP Output switching conditions.

· Trigger and VVT modes added for Ford Coyote V8 5.0L VVT engine.

· Ford Coyote 5.0L V8 VVT trigger decoding and VVT control (BETA - test only).

Fixes

· Fuel limiting was not being applied to the secondary injectors in group staged mode. WARNING - This must be checked if using Group-Staged injection mode and fuel limiting.

· Selecting a non rotary ignition mode when rotary engine type selected caused an ECU lockup when trying to start the engine.

· Individual injection timing on when in single cylinder mode caused the ECU to stall.

· Tacho output frequency was half what it should be on two stroke mode.

· Audi/VW CAN modes showed inconsistent RPM on some vehicles.

· The switch off time on virtual auxiliary outputs was inconsistent. They now switch off immediately.

· Barometric Pressure Sensor calibration did not work correctly if an external sensor was used (used by Vi-PEC production staff only).

· Improved ignition timing stability for VK56 engines. WARNING - Ignition timing must be checked if using one of the VK56 Trigger Modes.

Changes

· Renamed Piston engine type to 4 Stroke.

· External analog knock interface option (knock mode) has been removed. This function did not work correctly. Use digital or internal knock interface instead.

· Flat shift ignition cut did not occur if already ignition limiting, ie during soft RPM limit.

· AC Control no longer turns the AC fan off at over 2000 RPM. This was risky as at low air speeds when above 2000 RPM could cause excessive AC system pressure.

· When using the engine reverse flag for GP output conditions the switch value must be set to 1 or 0. Previously it always assumed the flag must be 1.

· Ford Duratec VVT mode has been renamed to Ford Focus Duratec.

· Launch control ignition trim in percentage mode has been extended from 0-100% to 0-400%.

· The range of numbers that can be entered into the gear ratio table have been extended from 0-200 to 0-650.

· The maximum allowed on a table axis for MAP has been increased from 500 to 700 kPa.

· The maximum allowed on a table axis for MGP has been increased from 300 to 600 kPa.

· The maximum allowed on a table axis for MAF (g/s and g/rev) has been increased.

· When doing a "restore to factory default" some settings were out of range.

· Renamed GP Output conditions %FF to Inj DC %.

· Injection timing options are no longer available when in group injection modes. Note that previously these settings were visible but ignored.

· The accel load table was not visible when using only wakeup injection

· Injection timing is now limited from 0-360 degrees.

· Allowed use of external E-Throttle model with V44s.

Firmware Version 4.9.4 (Rev 1238) - 20-06-12

New Features

· Starter Solenoid auxiliary output / digital input control. Allows the ECU to control the starting and stopping of the engine with a single push button.

· Added sensor calibrations for Seadoo temperature and MAP sensors.

· Added exhaust cam control for quad VVT VQ35 engines.

Fixes

· Wideband average read zero if a fuel pressure analog input was enabled.

· Corrected a small error in the tacho calibration on BMW Mini OEM CAN mode.

· Resolved an issue with receive of some CAN signals in BMW Mini OEM CAN mode.

Changes

· Differential Fuel Pressure now reads in kPa. This is to allow consistency for dashes and other external devices that expect all ECU pressures to be in a common unit. Any tables or limits that use this will need to be changed.

Firmware Version 4.9.3 (Rev 1190) - 01-05-12

New Features

· OEM CAN Mode for Yamaha FZ PWC (Fitted with Vi-PEC CAN-KLine adpater).

Fixes

· Various changes to improve internal testing of ECUs - These do not affect normal ECU operation.

Changes

· The barometric pressure sensor calibration for Vi-PEC Polaris RMK plugin ECUs has been corrected. An error was found that resulted in slightly rich running at high altitude (approx 4%t 65 kPa). This change may result in a lean running engine at high altitude. Contact your tuner before installing this firmware.

Firmware Version 4.9.2 (Rev 1178) - 16-04-12

New Features

· Suzuki Swift ZC32S Trigger Decoding (Beta)

· Chrysler PT Cruiser Trigger Decoding (Beta)

· Daihatsu Copen JB-DET Trigger Decoding (Beta)

· Virtual Auxiliary Outputs can be used as options to control speed limit.

· An altitude estimate parameter has been added. This allows an indication of the altitude change during driving.

· Overrun fuel cut minimum delay has been reduced from 0.1s to 0s.

· AFR Target Trim. A tabled trim can now be applied to the AFR target to allow varying the target under certain conditions. You must check this function is turned off after the FW update.

· Delphi AC ECT Sensor calibration added.

Changes

· The Delphi ACR Calibration has been renamed to Delphi AC IAT. A new calibration (and slightly different) has been added for Delphi AC ECT sensors.

· Changes to the calibration numbers for Delphi AC IAT (formerly Delphi ACR) and Bosch Std NTC calibrations. Minor inaccuracies were found in the calibrations and have been corrected with the latest information from Delphi and Bosch. Please read the notes here to see effects these changes have on temperature readings.

Fixes

· An issue where four terminal stepper motors were not controlled properly.

· CRC32 CAN transmit mode did not work correctly.

· Odometer was not working on Polaris RMK plug in ECUs.

· Not all CAN transmit parameters had valid values.

Firmware Version 4.9.1 (Rev 1167) - 17-02-12

New Features

· MAP Sensor Calibration for LS2 AC Delco sensor

Fixes

· A potential stalling issue that could occur in some extremely rare situations when ECU Logging was turned on.

Vipec can do some pretty good things with Drive by wire. On the Rotrex powered MINIs that I tune I use one of the DBW maps for launch control. A rotrex will snap the shaft if a hard limit is put in place and they are pulley'd.

Then I dont use a rev limiter on the highend just use a throttle limiter. Comes on nice and soft, works out great.

Are you doing a store to the vipec. Either using the menu or by pressing Ctrl+S.
