OFFICIAL VIPEC THREAD - V44 PnP & V88 Thread
should have the vipec in a couple weeks. ive been trying to plan the hardware to be associated with this set up, I want full control over the top and bottom port of the valve. So I want to use two valves.
Setting it up as ALS solenoid, im not positive if that it would activate only when als is functioning IE deceleration. The wording is tricky in the vipec manual. Ill use two mac valves the cheap ones that are common 15-30 bucks or so.
Previous to that I have finally got another set of EVO IX JDM anti lag hardware. I want to see how that performs. So I will have to see for sure if the output will activate at the right time, and just not be on all times. tricky wording they have..
again I just want the output to be low when als is active. Not when armed.
Looking through the manual it looked like ignition driver 6, 7 , 8 were free so If I can use those to do this that would be great.
I have to tinker more
then try to autocross it..

This function allows the ECU to activate a solenoid when the Anti-Lag system is active with Cyclic Idle or Anti-Lag ON. Its purpose is to bleed extra air into the engine and is typically used to adjust/replace the throttle plate stop.
If I configure an output to this function: Will the system being armed engage this output, or will it have to be operating (what I would thing the ON refers to). That, and then the second part is what trips me up. This is not a typical air bleed pre engine system, it needs to only open when the engine is on overrun. This valve wont be open at idle.

Cyclic idle doesnt have to be run, its an option that can be turned off or on. You can arm the system to be armed all the time or off a digital input or a virtual Aux output. If you do have any problems and need answers just jump on the link G4 forum because the Link G4 Xtreme is basically a v88 minus dbw and they and a few tuner/dealers are very ontop of questions compared to the vipec forum.
The new i88 plug in model should be released in the next two months. More inputs and outputs, traction control is coming, more CAN control, more logging options, faster CPU...
I opted not to go "I" . I think that the v88 is a great start for me. If I desire more later I can always capitalize!
How well would traction control work on an awd? I see tc as an option in the v88 menu I thought ..
I think by the end of next week mine will be shipping out, I'm feeling rather glorified to leave stock ecu reflashing to the past.

Its a option in the menu but it doesnt work. Its been there for a long time. With the i series they are going to bring it to working order, along with rolling anti-lag and some others.
You will enjoy your v88....I have a plug in for the evo, a i series for my MINI and a wire in for my 3KGT, they all have never failed me.
