Need a lil help

Alright, so this weekend I decided to finally install my Perrin intake and ETS upper pipes (I still need to do the lower). Before doing the install my AFR's were in the 10's at WOT. Now they're around 12.5-13's. Now from what Perrin claims, after installing the intake there is no need for a retune. My tuner had said the same thing as well (I've emailed him and he's not sure what going on). So my guess is that the intake flowed that much better over stock? The intake previously on the car was the stock intake mated to a Cobb short ram/cone filter.

I know that it's not good to drive the car at WOT with the fuel this lean, so it's parked for now. Being that I am not a tuner I was wanting some input on what to do from here. Does anyone think the piping effected the tune? I could throw the stock intake and cobb setup back on for the time being if the piping has nothing to do with it.

MODS:

Walbro 255
FIC 1050's
Perrin MBC
AMS (old style) Lower
Invidia Downpipe
MAP Race pipe
HKS Sport Catback
ETS Upper (NEW MOD)
Perrin Intake (NEW MOD)

You probably had a boost leak when you were tuned and now that you have redone the pipes the leak is fixed causing you to be running lean. Boost leaks cause you to run rich.

Thanks! That's what I've been hearing on another forum! Appreciate it!
