First performance mod. Please help

Hi guys. long time member. my stock exhaust manifold cracked so I decided to upgrade. I'm new to turbo car mods and have a few questions! thanks!

Current Performance Mod:
-Greddy Turboback Exhaust

Purchased:
-MAP Tubular Exhaust Manifold for 2008 Evo X
-ETS Cold Air Intake
-ETS Lower Intercooler Pipe Kit
-ETS Upper Intercooler Piping Kit
-AMS Front Mount Intercooler Kit with Stencil

1) Would the ETS kits bolt on to the AMS IC?

2) Do I need a tune immediately after? I would like to install these in my garage. But the tuner shop is about 50 miles away.

thanks! happy tuning!

Congrats on the new parts!

1) Yes, the AMS and ETS pieces should bolt up with one another.

2) I'd stay out of boost and drive like a grandma on your way to your tuner, should be fine though.

The IC pipes and intercooler should fit fine together.

The car will be fine to drive to your tuner. I would just stay out of boost.

Yeah, install in your garage and don't drive it hard to get it tuned. You will be fine, it will make the same power as a Corolla and you won't ruin anything

Great mods to start off with. I'd also suggest an electronic boost control solenoid. Grimmspeed and Cobb are the ones that are commonly used. I personally use the Cobb EBCS. You should make some good power gains. Good luck with everything.

Soak the exhaust bolts with wd40 ahead of time.

I would get all ams or all ETS personally, but full race make a nice tubular and so does ets.

Intercooler

I'm pretty certain the Intercooler is unnecessary unless you choose to get a bigger Turbo.

#1: I highly recommend 5150 if you're in So Cal.
#2 Buy a EBCS, take it to the shop and have them install it for you before tuning the car.

1) Yes they are compatible

2) tune is a MUST since you are altering the amount of air going into the engine
