My Evo got stolen. I got it back all they took was the wing and the ecu.
Now my question is can I just buy another Evo 8 ecu plug it into my car burn my current map into it and it'll be back to normal? Or is it more complicated than that? Please help me out. Thanks

 

depends on your current ROM ID and the replacement ECU's. I believe if your on one of the universal roms for the VIII then you should be fine.

 

Hi, sorry to hear about the car. I see you're in NJ as am I. I happen to have an ECU for you if you still need one. I bought an EVO VIII ECU from someone here years ago for my DSM (to use for re-flashing) but I went a different route. I don't frequent here often as I don't own an EVO and therefore don't have much to add to these forums. Actually I only popped back on here to try and get rid of this ECU... so if you still need one please PM me. I don't remember/know much about the EVO's but the ECU came out of a Stock EVO VIII. I can send you pictures if you would like. Let me know...
