Sorry for the delay in updates. I am making a really big change to the program right now so it is taking me longer to finish then I expected. I am trying to get it done this weekend and when its released you will be able to use it on a WRX or a Lancer!

Hey Everyone!!

Ive been getting a lot of emails on when the next update will be out and I am very very close to getting all of the bugs worked out in the next release. I just wanted to make a few announcements first.

The software will no longer be called UTEC Logger. There is another program out there that already has this name so I dont want to cause any copyright infringments. The new software package will instead be called UTEC-SD which stands for UTEC Super Datalogger.

Secondly the new release will feature a whole new menu driven system that is a hell of a lot easier to use and features large buttons to work easily with 7in touch screen displays in some cars. I have also designed a 7in touch screen monitor that I expect samples of next week. If everything goes well I should be able to sell these screens for only $190!!! The screens can be used for anything you want like DVD playback etc and easily connect to other devices. I have been playing with my mock up one on my car and everything is working great although viewing graphed data on a 7in screen isnt very nice.

Finally the topic I have received several questions on. I think I have the WRX code completed. I have run through several logs (Thanks to all that sent them to me!!) from several different cars and everything appears to be working fine. I will warn you though, the background for the new setup is a Lancer EVO so it may not look good on your laptop while your Subbie buddies are watching =) I will be adding a Subbie pic for when WRX mode is activated so if you want your car featured send it my way and Ill put the nicest looking shot in the program. Woohoo!! Ok well.. Maybe its not that exciting =)

I have also got a good start on the real time map edits and I am also working on building switches to enable some UTEC features on the fly including Launch control (With user settable RPM) and map selection.

I hope everyone is gonna like this upcoming release as much as I already do! Currently I am planning on a May 22nd release. This will allow me to do some more polish work and get a good workout on some other cars during the Track day I am attending this Friday!!

Until then all keep the roads safe by destroying all the SUV's you see!!

UTEC-SD is now released in Version 1.0.0. I am starting a new thread though since this one is pretty old and doesnt fully match the original idea I had.
