So recently I had my car tuned, but after a some pulls the car started breaking up under boost. So I got new spark plugs, NGK BPR8EIX. I gapped them at .025 and still had the same issue. Then I tried .021, issue persists. The car is running 24psi.(Full mod list here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...l#post11840203)
Do I have to go to an even tighter gap or is this an issue from somewhere else? Thanks for reading.

 

Replace plug wires, they are cheap.

 

You ignition system might be weak but I also would not be running that plug. See if a BPR7EIX makes any difference.

 

You absolutely do not need that plug. Go back to the stock heat range, as suggested above, and see if that helps. Make sure they are CAREFULLY gapped (it's easy to break off the iridium tip). If your wires aren't OEM, try to track down a set of OEM coils/wires to see if that helps. At your power level, OEM is best.

Also it looks like I do have aftermarket wires, as theyre red, not black.

Alright so it was the plug wires, they were probably some junk aftermarket ones that the previous owner used, replaced with OEM. Car runs great now and currently using the BPR7 plugs. Thanks for the help everyone!

 

Awesome! You would be surprised how many ignition problems are solved by swapping back to OEM wires and coils.
