went to Dyno-comp on saturday. Results.

Well drove to Dyno-comp yesterday and did the Dyno thing. Pull one was 250 HP to the wheels on their Dyno Dynamics AWD dyno. It was a very nice place and they took the time to offer suggestions. (Little Plug) Pull one was on MAP 0. Pull 2 was on MAP 1. The car fell on its face. 210 HP and 12 psi boost. WTF!!! Pull 3 was same thing!!! O.K. pull the car out and fume for a bit. STI guys were like WTF???? also. 2 other evos were there. One was modded and pulled 200 to the wheels!! I felt for him. Ime not gonna say what he had cause ime not sure, but i think it was a "mail in". The other stock evo did 220 i think. When everyone was done, the owner brought my car back in and we looked it over. Well it was simple. My evc 5 was set to 19.5 max. Map 0 i stay at 19. Map 1 i go to 20 and the evc dumped my boost. O.K. fix it and lets do it again!!! Run 1 was 260 on map 0 and about 240 on map 1. HHmmm. If someone can post the pictures i will email you the dyno sheet i dont know how to do it.... Its quite interesting...... Now i need to figure my next step. They said their dyno can induce load so you can hold your car at an exact load point and tune each load site at each rpm!!! God i wonder how long that would take??? RRR

It's interesting that you produce 20 more hp without the utec (setting 0). When you are out driving, does it feel that way when you switch from setting 0 to 1. I notice a definite increase in power when I switch to the stage 1 map (slightly modified). My dyno numbers ( mustang AWD dyno ) were 220 stock, and 248 with exhaust and utec. Let us know what you figure out.

if this worked, the red line is map 1 and blue is map 0.

I had the same experience with the "Stg1-Modified" Map compared to the map0 setting.. my car ran alot harder without tuning than the supplied TXS Map.. Obviously conservative and safe..
