1/4 mile Turbo OZ

Hi guys, im looking to buy a lancer OZ next summer and slapping on a Turbo kit. im just wondering what kinda horsepower are you guys with turbo lancers pushing? what about 1/4 mile times? are your turbo kits with intercoolers? im trying to gather information. in need to get a Lancer ready to race at the track. And im hoping to nail 13s with this car. im up in montreal canada, and mitsubishi just opened up here, so i gotta impress and try to start the commotion

I've heard that HP estimates are up to 220 whp. That was posted awhile back, so, my memory may be faulty. There are two available kits from RRM, one has an intercooler for 800 bucks (I think) extra.

Well... that's a tricky subject. I've heard estimates that the Lancer, with the turbo kit, injectors, an LSD, and grippy tires could possibly pull down a low 13. Don't quote me on that.

An the intercooler kit is 600 bucks extra, not 800. Sorry for the mistake.

yeah the lancer can get into the low 14's or high 13's (if your one hell of a driver) at around 8 psi...but it needs all the traction it can get (i kno from experience with mine) gotta save for the damn LSD.

you guys should do some research cause your HP numbers are high and your 1/4 mile times are too low..

This is has been brought up way too many times... and basically what you can take out of that question is that the 4G63 could never be dropped easily inside the North American Lancer. Apparently the 4G63 and 4G94 (not sure if that's the code name for the north american Lancer) do not share a lot. I'm also assuming that the Lancer being sold in Canada is exactly the same being sold in the US.
For more info about swapping a 4G63 into a North American Lancer do a search in the forum and you should find what I'm talking about.

Perhaps do a search. (I've always wanted to say that) So far it seems peopel are just shoving free information down your throat. Troll a bit and you will learn a bunch.

Agreed. Look around. The thread about the 2004 Lancer rumors is a particularily good thread, since one of the things we are discussing is the 2.4L swap.

As for speedy st9, I've been around for a while, and read ALOT of stuff, and asked ALOT of questions. That's my research. Until you do your own, don't try and call me out.

Thanks liquid for the back up.
