Turbo Necessities?
Turbo Necessities?
I am about to purchase a T3 or T3/T4 Hybrid Turbo and need to know all the parts that I need to run a good turbo setup. I also need to know what parts need to be upgraded on the Lancer to allow me to maximize the boost and control air/fuel ratios...I am a n00b to turbos so be gentle!

Start there. Answer: a whole hell of a lot. Not something that should be taken lightly.

No. I'd say at 10 PSI and up perhaps (and you'd also be replacing pistons but you knew that) but I don't think anyone has plotted out the injectors' duty cycle under boost.

Spark plugs and ignition wires and that's about it unless you can backwards engineer Mitsubishi's coil ignition system and make your own high output coils or capacitor pack without having to pay Mitsubishi royalties.
This has been covered.
<---use. I will tell you copper is usually recommended for high boost. Really, put a tad more effort into this. A lot of information is already out there.

Well, here' some good news on Magnecor.
About two yrs ago, I have bought mine from overboost.com at a skyrocket price of 80 bucks w/o S&H. Yes, royalty and rip off on the 1.8L guys since there wasn't really another Mitsu DIS system on the market.
A couple yrs later, I was informed that there is another company. http://www.cyberauto.com/
Overboost has kept their prices the same (now, they are really money-grubbing), but cyberauto looks like they acknowledge there is a market for the 3g eclipse and lancer w/ DIS. Their price is 65 bucks! You can't really beat that price. Just chk their stuff under the mirage 1.8L . . . not all stuff maybe the same for the lancer.
See competition is good.
